The powerful but efficient 200w motor turns the sharp blades to make short work of processing any ingredients. To ensure you can use the machine safely the lid must be securely attached for the motor to start. The lid itself then acts as the button that you need to depress to start the machine operating. Use the cross blade attachment to grind wetter ingredients like cloves of garlic, chickpeas, ginger root, small portions of carrot, onion and shallots or spices with tomato puree to make a curry paste or passata.
The flat blade attachment should be used for grinding dry ingredients like linseed, flax seeds, poppy seeds, or small amounts of breadcrumbs or oats to put into your morning smoothies. You can also use it to process spices like turmeric, cinnamon or coriander.
When you’ve finished grinding simply rinse the cup attachment and blades under the tap to clean them. The stainless steel casing of the coffee grinder can be wiped clean with a soft, damp cloth.
