Basic Waffle Recipe: The basis of any waffle recipe is flour, eggs and milk, although these items can be changed when you are creating vegan waffles or gluten free versions. For a very basic waffle batter mix 115g plain flour, 1 tsp of baking powder and a pinch of salt in a bowl then stir in 3 tbsp of caster sugar. Break in two medium eggs and 2 tbsp melted butter along with a few drops of vanilla extract. Use a whisk to gently stir the mixture, gradually adding 300ml milk to make a smooth, thick batter.
