Hyundai MMA / ARC Inverter Welder, 230V Single Phase, 120Amp
Hyundai’s HYMMA-120 is a lightweight and very adaptable single-phase ARC / MMA welder. The HYMMA-120 can weld mild steel up to 6mm thick.
Portable ARC Welder That Is Lightweight
The HYMMA-120 weighs only 6.0kg and is easy to transport thanks to its adjustable harness and lightweight pressed steel case with powder-coated finish for increased corrosion resistance. The HYMMA-120 comes with an electrode holder with a 2m cable, an earth clamp with a 1.5m cable, a chipping hammer, and a wire brush, making it incredibly cost-effective.
Adjustable ARC Welder for a Wide Range of Materials and Thicknesses
The HYMMA-120 ARC welder has a stepless regulator that allows for limitless variable control of the welding current, as well as a low current facility for successful welding of thinner materials. The HYMMA-120’s welding (output) current may be controlled between 20 and 120 amps, making it adaptable to welding different materials and thicknesses of steel.
Welder with a High Duty Cycle
Always check the ‘Duty Cycle’ to avoid buying low-quality devices. The duty cycle is the amount of time a welder can be utilised on a specific output within a 10-minute period. When used on 120A output, our 120A welder, for example, has a duty cycle of 35%. This indicates that it can be used for three and a half minutes out of every ten minutes.
The following are the duty cycles for the Hyundai welder range:
Model Output Amperage / Duty Cycle / Period of use within 10 minute period
MMA120 70A / 100% / 10minutes 90A / 50% / 6minutes 120A / 35% / 3.5minutes
MMA160 95A / 100% / 10minutes 120A / 50% / 6minutes 160A / 35% / 3.5minutes
MMA200P 155A / 100% / 10minutes 200A / 60% / 6minutes
TIG200 155A / 100% / 10minutes 200A / 60% / 6minutes
Mig180 105A / 100% / 10minutes 140A / 60% / 6minutes 180A / 35% / 3.5minutes
Cheaper, lower quality welders claim to be a certain Amperage output, but can have a very low duty cycle on the output they have claimed. Always check the duty cycle to ensure you are getting the best value for money.
The Benefits of Using An Inverter Welder
When compared to more typical transformer welders, the Hyundai welders’ inverter technology has a few advantages. Inverter welders are typically lighter, less expensive, and require less input power to provide a comparable output. This lowers the cost of ownership as well as the cost of operation.
Safe As Well As Versatile
Thermal overload protection is included to ensure optimal endurance. Steel, stainless steel, copper, nickel, titanium, and their alloys are all suitable for welding.
The HYMMA-120 is a good all-rounder for welding with rods up to 3.2mm and is suitable for fabricators, farmers, home mechanics, mobile technicians, and DIY enthusiasts. High frequency beginnings on the HYMMA-120 enable for smooth arc strikes.
Low Service And Maintenance
The HYMMA-120 is exceptionally easy to use and maintain, with low service and maintenance requirements and full Hyundai UK parts support.

Know your welder:
(MMA) Manual Metal Arc – Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMA) or (MMAW) Manual Metal Arc Welding is flux shielded arc welding or informally as stick welding, is a manual arc welding process that uses a consumable electrode covered with a flux to lay the weld.
(TIG) Tungsten Inert Gas – Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (TIG) or (GTAW) Gas Tungsten Arc Welding is an arc welding process that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce the weld.
(MIG) Metal Inert Gas – Metal Inert Gas Welding (MIG), (GMAW) Gas Metal Arc Welding or (MAG) Metal Active Gas is a welding process in which an electric arc forms between a consumable wire electrode and the workpiece metal(s), which heats the workpiece metal(s), causing them to melt and join.
