Hyundai DHY8000SELR-T – Multi-Phase, Long Run Standby Diesel Generator | 6kW / 7.5kVA

Hyundai’s DHY8000SELR-T is a compact yet powerful long run standby generator that is switchable between 230v single phase and 400v three phase voltages. The DHY8000SELR-T is an excellent choice for workshops, garages, and residential use.

The big 30L fuel tank extends the operating period to a maximum of 30 hours. Powered by a 456cc air-cooled single cylinder Hyundai diesel engine, the DHY8000SELR-T has a maximum output of 6kW / 7.5kVA.

The control panel includes a single phase 32A 230v socket, a three phase 16A 400v socket, and a 12v DC battery charging outlet.

For maximum convenience, an ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) can be connected to an ATS system. When the ATS module – supplied separately – detects a loss of power from the mains supply, it automatically starts your generator and changes from mains to generator power. When mains power is restored, it switches back to mains power and turns off the generator. When operated manually, this electric start diesel generator can be started via a two-wire start function or by a simple turn of the key.

The DHY8000SELR-T, housed in a silent housing, is an incredibly quiet machine that will cause minimal disruption to you, your family, or your employees while powering your building. With a sound rating of 70 decibels at a distance of 7 metres.

The DHY8000SELR-T is an economical machine to operate, consuming approximately 1L of diesel per hour. Due to the DHY8000SELR-ability T’s to run on red diesel, which is substantially less expensive than the white diesel used in cars, operating costs may be kept to a minimum.

Hyundai’s standard warranty period is one year.

Designed for standby mode operation. We recommend a 1500rpm diesel generator for continuous power delivery.

Please note that this is a 3000rpm generator, which is perfect for backup power during a power outage or for powering a workshop, for example. If you intend to operate the generator frequently or for extended periods of time each day (primary power), you should invest in a 1500rpm water-cooled, slow-running generator with a significantly longer lifespan. Equipped with an alternator controlled by an AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) to maintain voltage as close to 230v as possible. Alternators that are not AVR have a considerable voltage fluctuation, which can cause harm to sensitive electrical equipment. If a portable generator is required to reproduce the mains supply, a pure sine wave inverter generator is recommended.
