8.8kW Single-Phase Diesel Generator

The DHY9KSEm is a powerful single-phase diesel generator by Hyundai. Suitable for giving your house or office with either prime power, if you simply have a few appliances to operate, or for backup power when the national grid lets you down, this diesel gensets has a maximum output of 11KVA.

Powerful Hyundai Engine

Powered by an 11hp HY380 diesel engine, the DHY9KSEm is able to provide a maximum output of 11KVA / 8.8kW backup power and 10KVA / 8kW prime power.

Fitted with AVR Alternator

Equipped with an AVR alternator to provide clean energy, the DHY9KSEm is appropriate for powering sensitive electronic equipment, including as televisions, PCs and laptops, in your home or office.

ATS Compatible

The DHY9KSEm can be started manually by using the key, or linked to an ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) system, which will automatically switch on the generator when a loss of power to the property is detected. When power returns from the mains, the ATS module will then securely switch your generator off.

This is great for people who need to guarantee continual power – for example, if you run servers or have refrigeration equipment.

Silenced Generator

Housed under a weather-proof ‘silenced’ canopy, the DHY9KSEm generates just 65dB @ 7 metres which making it a quiet standby generator which won’t disrupt you at home or work.

1500rpm Generator

1500rpm diesel generators are appropriate for static installation for daily prime power, as well as for regular standby generator/backup generator use.

1500rpm generators feature slower running, water-cooled engines which are less strained than 3000rpm generators, which making them the ideal option if you’re intending to utilise your generator as your main power source and will also lengthen its lifespan.

Economical

Diesel generators are good for backup applications, as fuel can become stale and render a generator inoperable. Our diesel generators also work happily on budget-friendly red diesel, without voiding the guarantee and making it cost-effective to replenish.

Delivery

Kerbside delivery is included in the price. However, please note that a forklift will be necessary for offloading.

Generator kVA Ratings

All of our single-phase generators have a kVA rating that is higher than the kW. This is because we have assumed the appliances you are intending to power have a load factor/power factor of 0.8 – consequently the ‘assumed’ kVA rating of the load would be greater. This is industry standard and it is typically advisable to scope the proper unit depending on the kW.
