A Hyundai 68kW Three-Phase Diesel Generator

Hyundai produces a powerful three-phase diesel generator called the DHY85KSE. This diesel generator set has a maximum output of 85KVA and is suitable for powering three-phase equipment in your house, place of business, or factory.
Key Elements
- Diesel three-phase generator generates power up to 85kVA.
- Using an engine running at 1500 rpm: increases the generator’s lifespan
- Equipped with an AVR alternator being able to generate clean energy
- Quiet generator: Enclosed inside a weather-resistant cover and only producing 72dB at 7m
- ATS compatible: in the event of a power outage, automatically switches over to the generator
- Large fuel capacity: For longer running times
- 2 year Hyundai warranty for peace of mind
- Hyundai’s powerful engine
3 Phase Power
Typically, 3-phase 400/230v generators are built to supply electricity to 3-phase, 400 volt equipment. While you may use them to run a modest amount of 230v equipment on a stand-alone basis, this is not their intended use, and it can be tricky to “balance” the phases and prevent the generator from tripping off.

You must precisely “balance” the loads on each phase in order to operate the generator at 230 volts and reach its output capability (the amount you are drawing from each phase of electricity).
If you are unsure whether this generator is the best choice for your requirements, we suggest that you consult a certified electrician or generator installer or call us for guidance.
Equipped with an AVR alternator
The DHY85KSE, which has an AVR alternator to generate clean energy, is appropriate for powering delicate electronic devices in your home or place of business, including TVs, computers, and laptops.
ATS Compliant
The DHY85KSE can be started manually with the key or automatically by connecting it to an ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) system, which will activate the generator when there is a power outage at the property. The ATS module will then securely shut off your generator when the mains power comes back on.
This is perfect if you run servers or have refrigeration equipment and need to ensure continual electricity.
Quiet Generator
The DHY85KSE is a quiet standby generator that won’t disturb you at home or at work because it is housed under a weatherproof “silenced” canopy and only emits 72dB @ 7 metres of noise.
Protection from Power Cuts
Millions of pounds are lost due to power outages each year in the UK, but a standby generator like this one is made to safeguard your income. If your company depends on a server room, online sales, refrigeration, or freezers, frequent or prolonged power outages might be financially devastating.
1500 rpm Generator
Diesel generators running at 1500 rpm are perfect for stationary installations that provide continuous prime power as well as frequent standby and backup generator use.
If you intend to utilise your generator as your primary source of power, 1500 rpm generators are the ideal choice because they have slower running, water-cooled engines that are less stressed than 3000 rpm generators. This will also increase the generator’s lifespan.
Cost-effective Generator
Because petrol can occasionally become stale and prevent a generator from operating, diesel generators are perfect for backup applications. Additionally, our diesel generators happily operate on inexpensive red diesel, which is both cost-effective to refuel and doesn’t affect the guarantee.
Delivery
The cost includes curbside delivery. Please be aware that forklift use will be necessary for unloading.
A two-year warranty
For added peace of mind, this 85kVA diesel generator has a 2-year Hyundai warranty with complete UK parts and service support.
kVA ratings for generators
Our generators all have kVA ratings that are higher than their kW ratings. This is because the load factor/power factor of the appliances you’ll be powering is assumed to be 0.8, making a greater kVA rating for the load than is actually the case. This is the norm in the industry, and choosing the appropriate unit based on kW is typically the best course of action.
